Overview

Amazon is hiring a Team Lead for their Last Mile operations in Kolkata. You'll be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring team performance, and maintaining Amazon standards. This role requires strong leadership and operational management skills.

Who you are

You have experience in managing teams and ensuring operational efficiency — you understand the importance of training and motivating your team to meet performance expectations. You are adept at implementing policies fairly and consistently, ensuring that your team can focus on their jobs without distractions. You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to provide effective feedback and address any performance issues that arise.

You are familiar with the logistics and operational challenges of a fast-paced environment — you know how to manage both inbound and outbound operations effectively. Your leadership style is focused on driving performance while maintaining a positive team morale, and you are comfortable making tough decisions when necessary, including addressing disciplinary actions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the end-to-end operations for either one large site or a combination of smaller sites, ensuring that all operational metrics are met. You will be responsible for executing daily operations, tracking attendance, and maintaining safety standards. Your role will involve coaching and developing your team members, preparing training plans, and implementing performance management strategies to achieve the best results for customers.

You will work closely with third-party delivery providers to ensure that Amazon's service standards are upheld in accordance with service contracts. Your ability to motivate and lead your team will be crucial in achieving operational excellence and meeting customer expectations. You will also be responsible for reporting on team performance and making data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and productivity.
