What you'll do

As an Area Manager II at Amazon, you will lead a team of hourly associates, ensuring they are engaged and performing at their best. You will manage key operational metrics, including safety, quality, and productivity, while maintaining customer delivery promises. Your role will involve collaborating with various support teams to develop and implement strategies that meet business objectives. You will be responsible for mentoring your team, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their roles.

You will oversee the workflow of the operations network, which includes the first mile, middle mile, and last mile processes. This means ensuring that products are housed and ready for order, efficiently transported to your area, and delivered to customers' doors on time. You will need to be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will also be expected to maintain a safe working environment for your team, adhering to safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety within the workplace. You will be involved in lifting and moving products, standing or walking for extended periods, and working in environments that may vary in temperature and noise levels. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive team culture and achieving operational excellence.
