Who you are

You are a motivated and data-driven procurement category manager with a strong background in supply chain and procurement. You possess analytical and financial acumen, enabling you to dive deep into processes used in data center operations. Your communication capabilities allow you to influence stakeholders at all levels, and you have a hands-on passion for driving improvements in procurement processes.

With proven experience managing large-scale supply chain and procurement improvement projects, you think strategically and globally. You are highly analytical and exhibit curiosity and a learning drive, which helps you succeed in a fast-paced environment. You have a sense of urgency to meet customer timelines and a high level of customer focus and business judgment.

You embrace and model Amazon’s Leadership Principles and have an entrepreneurial spirit. You are collaborative but also work with significant autonomy, driving multiple initiatives and communicating effectively with both customers and suppliers.

Desirable

Experience in the construction services space is a plus, as is familiarity with competitive bidding and negotiation strategies. You thrive in environments where you can develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery.

What you'll do

In this role, you will create and implement sourcing strategies within the construction services space, collaborating with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and lower costs for Amazon. You will analyze data and market trends to inform your category strategies and ensure that procurement processes align with business objectives.

You will be responsible for developing mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for their performance and delivery. Your role will involve driving results through competitive bidding, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that procurement practices are efficient and effective.

You will work closely with various teams within Amazon, fostering collaboration and communication to ensure that procurement strategies align with broader business goals. Your analytical skills will be crucial in assessing supplier performance and identifying areas for improvement.
