You have a strong background in physical security management, with experience leading projects that ensure the safety and security of data centers. Your understanding of Threat Assessments and AWS Physical Security Standards allows you to implement effective security measures tailored to specific environments. You possess excellent collaboration skills, enabling you to work closely with architectural and engineering teams to meet AWS's high security standards. You are detail-oriented and proactive, ensuring that local security teams are equipped with the necessary technical knowledge and resources to fulfill their mission. You are a U.S. Citizen or have equivalent status, as this role requires access to the AWS GovCloud region.

Desirable

Experience in managing physical security systems in a technology-driven environment is a plus. Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. A background in project management methodologies will also be beneficial as you oversee various security projects.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the implementation of physical security systems across AWS data centers, ensuring compliance with established security standards. You will interpret Threat Assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively. Collaborating with AWS architectural and engineering teams, you will ensure that each data center meets the stringent security requirements set by AWS. After project implementation, you will provide ongoing support to local security teams, ensuring they have the resources and knowledge necessary to maintain security protocols. You will also be responsible for reporting on security project progress and outcomes to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and success.
