Job Description

Who you are

You have a background in engineering with a focus on data center construction — you understand the complexities involved in building large-scale infrastructure and have experience working on projects that require collaboration across multiple disciplines. You are familiar with AWS services and have a strong grasp of electrical and mechanical systems that are critical to data center operations. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you thrive in environments where you can tackle challenging issues head-on. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards for safety and security in all aspects of your work. You enjoy working in diverse teams and are eager to contribute your expertise to help deliver innovative solutions.

Desirable

Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus — you can create and interpret technical drawings and specifications that guide construction efforts. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies will help you coordinate effectively with various teams involved in the construction process. A background in energy-efficient design practices is also beneficial, as Amazon values sustainability in its data center operations.

What you'll do

You will also be tasked with coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure that all materials and equipment meet Amazon's high standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders will be crucial as you work to align project goals with operational needs.

You will participate in the planning and design phases of data center projects — your insights will help shape the construction process and ensure that the final product meets both technical specifications and customer expectations. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving any technical challenges that arise during construction, leveraging your engineering expertise to find effective solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of AWS infrastructure, making your role vital to the success of the organization.
