Who you are
You have extensive experience in public policy, ideally with a focus on regulatory issues that impact business operations. Your strong collaboration skills enable you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including legal and public relations, to analyze and address emerging policy challenges. You are adept at triaging short-term pressures while maintaining a focus on long-term strategic goals, ensuring that your team is aligned and prioritized effectively.
You understand the importance of building relationships with senior policymakers and regulators, and you have a proven track record of engaging with external stakeholders to advocate for your organization's interests. Your ability to translate complex policy issues into compelling arguments will be key in influencing decision-makers and amplifying your organization's voice in the public policy arena.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead Amazon's public policy initiatives in Türkiye, setting direction and goals for a small team while also personally driving the execution of key projects. You will analyze policy and regulatory issues, assess their business impact, and develop proactive campaigns to address them. Your work will involve crafting policy positions and messaging that resonate with decision-makers, ensuring that your advocacy is supported by robust evidence.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues in legal, public relations, and business teams to ensure that the organization is well-informed about policy risks and opportunities. Regular travel to Ankara and some international travel will be required to engage with policymakers and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for tracking the team's goals and ensuring that they are met, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within your team.
