Who you are
You are a motivated individual with a strong interest in quantum computing and algorithms. You have experience applying methods of mathematical and numerical analysis to assess the performance of quantum algorithms, establishing their advantages over classical algorithms. Your background may include expertise in quantum chemistry, many-body physics, quantum machine learning, cryptography, optimization theory, quantum complexity theory, quantum error correction, and fault tolerance, or quantum sensing. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to learn from industry experts while contributing to innovative research.
Desirable
While not mandatory, familiarity with scientific computing and a passion for solving complex problems in quantum computing will set you apart. You are encouraged to apply even if you do not meet all the qualifications listed.
What you'll do
As a Research Scientist Intern, you will work closely with the Quantum Algorithms Team at the Center for Quantum Computing. Your primary responsibilities will include developing novel quantum algorithms and evaluating their prospective applications in fault-tolerant quantum computers.
