Amazon is hiring an RME Technician to maintain vital machinery and ensure operational efficiency. You'll perform proactive maintenance and reactive repairs in a live distribution warehouse environment. This role requires a commitment to health and safety practices.

Who you are

As an RME Technician, you are dedicated to maintaining a wide range of equipment and ensuring the safety of your colleagues. You understand the importance of proactive and preventative maintenance tasks and are skilled in carrying out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse. Your commitment to health and safety best practices is paramount, and you take pride in boosting the availability and quality of equipment. You are also supportive of the development and progression of on-site apprentices, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

You thrive in an on-site role, where you can respond quickly to machinery issues and carry out planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is working safely. You are proactive in investigating breakdowns, finding solutions, and implementing long-term improvements. Working alongside senior colleagues, you are comfortable liaising with contractors when external expertise is needed, and you are adaptable to various shifts to support the operational needs of the site.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for performing proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment. You will carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse, ensuring that machinery downtime is minimized. Your role will involve using the latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness while upholding all health and safety policies and practices. You will also support the development of on-site apprentices, helping to foster a skilled workforce.

You will work on continuous improvement projects, rolling out best practices across various EU sites. Your ability to respond quickly to machinery issues will be crucial, as you will be expected to carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment safety and reliability. You will investigate breakdowns, implement solutions, and suggest long-term improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Your collaboration with senior colleagues and contractors will be essential in maintaining a safe and effective working environment.
