Who you are
You have a strong background in business development and sales, particularly within the defense sector, and you understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with engaging military customers. Your experience allows you to build deep business and technical relationships, enabling you to effectively drive engagement and close deals. You possess a technical background that allows you to interact confidently with military staff officers, contracting officials, and technical teams, ensuring that you can communicate effectively about cloud computing solutions.
You are a strategic thinker who can identify key opportunities within the United States Air Force and develop a growing book of business. Your ability to understand the customerโs mission and environment is crucial, as it allows you to tailor your approach and solutions to meet their specific needs. You are a US Citizen and currently hold an active Top Secret security clearance, which is essential for this role.
Desirable
Experience working with cloud computing solutions and a strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) will set you apart. Familiarity with the defense contracting landscape and existing relationships within the USAF can also enhance your effectiveness in this position.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to engage with the United States Air Force, focusing on cloud transformation and the adoption of AWS. You will drive business and technical relationships, working closely with key stakeholders to identify and pursue opportunities that align with the USAF's IT strategy. Your day-to-day interactions will involve collaborating with systems integrators and solutions providers to deliver cloud computing solutions that modernize and transform enterprise and mission systems.
You will leverage your knowledge of the customerโs mission to establish credibility and trust, enabling you to influence decision-making at senior military and civilian levels. Your role will require you to think strategically about the business landscape and to be proactive in identifying new opportunities for AWS within the USAF. You will also be expected to maintain a growing book of business, ensuring that you meet or exceed sales targets while contributing to the overall success of the AWS sales team.

Amazon provides a competitive salary range of $142,800.00 - $193,200.00 USD annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
