Who you are
You are a highly motivated and analytical individual with strong accounting fundamentals and sound business judgment. You thrive in a fast-paced, global environment and can effectively communicate with senior business leaders. Your curiosity drives you to explore and understand the intricacies of financial processes, particularly in the context of television production and distribution.
You have experience in accounting practices and are familiar with revenue recognition principles, particularly ASC 606. Your ability to interpret contractual terms and apply them to financial reporting is a key strength. You are detail-oriented and can analyze variances to provide meaningful insights to management.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the monthly close process, which includes preparing journal entries and delivering financial reports to management. You will review licensing agreements and interpret their terms to ensure appropriate revenue recognition. Your responsibilities will also involve researching technical accounting guidance and preparing internal documentation to support financial decisions.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence business leaders through clear communication and analytical rigor. Your role is crucial in supporting the financial health of Amazon MGM Studios as it continues to grow and create original content for global audiences.
