Overview
Amazon is hiring a Senior EMIR Engineer to contribute to the EMIR sign-off of SoCs for AI workloads. You'll work with power integrity and verification engineers to ensure high-quality designs. This role requires experience in EMIR analysis and power grid design.
Job Description
Who you are
You are an experienced EMIR engineer with a proven track record of handling challenges at scale — you have a deep understanding of power grid design and EMIR analysis, and you thrive in collaborative environments with architects and verification engineers. You possess strong analytical skills and are adept at developing test cases and vectors to model demand currents accurately.
You have experience working directly with EDA tool vendors to develop and evaluate new methodologies for EMIR analysis — your expertise allows you to advance the state-of-the-art in EMIR modeling and analysis. You are detail-oriented and maintain a high bar on quality, ensuring that all designs meet rigorous standards.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design and analyze power grids, setting up flows for EMIR analysis and running assessments for large subsystems and SoCs. You will partner with various engineering teams to develop vectors for IR analysis, thermal analysis, and power estimation. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining dashboards for EMIR rollups, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to critical data.
You will also work closely with designers and architects to come up with worst-case vectors for power and IR analysis, identifying root causes of low annotation or low switching coverage. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and performance of AI workloads powered by Amazon's Inferentia and Trainium SoCs.
What we offer
Amazon provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as life insurance and mental health support. You will have access to a 401(k) matching program, paid time off, and parental leave. The salary for this position ranges from $157,300 to $212,800 annually, reflecting the importance of this role in our organization.
