Job Description
Who you are
You have experience as a Site Safety Officer, demonstrating a strong understanding of safety policies and local regulations. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to build trust and influence change within the operations team. Your background includes knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and ergonomic safety practices, which you apply to create a safe working environment for associates.
You are skilled in conducting comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis, using this information to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your ability to instruct and train operations leaders in safety policies ensures that safety standards are effectively incorporated into daily operations. You are proactive in identifying best practices and integrating them into company safety policies.
What you'll do
In this role, you will partner with the site operations team to execute safety policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations. You will lead initiatives aimed at reducing conditional and ergonomic risks, fostering a healthful working environment for all associates. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments, analyzing safety data, and providing feedback to the safety teams to ensure adherence to core competencies.
You will be responsible for training operations leaders on safety policies and best practices, ensuring that safety standards are consistently applied across the site. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to influence change and improve safety outcomes. You will also be tasked with communicating safety expectations clearly and consistently, both verbally and in writing, to ensure that all team members understand their responsibilities.
