Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in workplace health and safety, demonstrating the ability to partner effectively with site operations teams to execute safety policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations. You leverage lean principles and kaizens to lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing conditional and ergonomic risks in processes, ensuring a safe and healthful working environment for associates.
You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing you to send clear, concise, and consistent messages. You are adept at building trust and confidence with the operations team, influencing change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis. Your expertise in safety programs and relevant safety, environmental, and ergonomic knowledge is evident in your interactions with operations.
What you'll do
As a Site WHS Officer, you will be responsible for instructing and training Operations Leaders in company safety policies, assisting site teams in incorporating safety standards. You will identify best practices and integrate them into company safety policies to continuously improve safety measures. Leading a team of safety specialists and coordinators, you will create and execute leadership development plans for your team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to uphold safety standards.
You will conduct regular safety audits and assessments, analyze safety data, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to promote a culture of safety within the organization. You will also be responsible for reporting safety performance metrics and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
