Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software development, particularly in building high-assurance, fault-tolerant systems. Your expertise in modern programming languages, especially Rust, allows you to tackle complex challenges in secure satellite communications effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with hardware, security, systems, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions tailored for government customers.
Your background includes experience in developing software services for mission-critical applications, and you understand the importance of reliability and performance in high-stakes environments. You are comfortable navigating the intricacies of satellite communications and have a strong grasp of the technical requirements necessary to support U.S. National and International security and defense initiatives.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining foundational software that extends Amazon Leo capabilities to U.S. Government customers. You will develop new software services that automatically coordinate with external systems and organizations, ensuring rapid, reliable, and scalable solutions. Your work will directly impact the delivery of fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers in locations without existing networks.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex challenges and ensure that the software you develop meets the high standards required for government applications. Your role will involve not only coding but also engaging in discussions about system architecture and design, contributing to the overall strategy of the Amazon Leo project.
