Who you are
You have 3+ years of professional software development experience, demonstrating your ability to build robust software solutions. Your experience includes 2+ years in design or architecture, where you've applied design patterns and focused on reliability and scaling of applications. You enjoy tackling challenging problems and have a strong understanding of how to create pragmatic solutions for complex business needs.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with operations staff in Amazon fulfillment centers worldwide. Your technical expertise allows you to interface effectively with sortation and SCOT systems, ensuring high fidelity in promise and planning decisions. You are passionate about innovation in supply chain and customer experience, and you are eager to contribute to a team that supports over 570 fulfillment centers across multiple regions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building core software components and services that orchestrate the movement of inventory within warehouses. You will work on high-volume, low-latency, and high-availability services, leveraging new technologies to scale the business and lead the industry through innovation. You will collaborate with a team of smart, passionate software developers to solve deep technical problems and build innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing new software from the ground up, ensuring that the solutions you create meet the needs of the business and delight customers. You will also be involved in the architecture of new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scalability. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to influence the technical direction of projects and contribute to the overall success of the IBFR team.
