Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of professional software development experience, demonstrating your ability to build new software from the ground up and create pragmatic solutions for complex business problems. You enjoy working closely with operations staff in Amazon fulfillment centers around the world, and you have a strong understanding of design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems.
Your technical expertise includes proficiency in Java and familiarity with AWS services, which allows you to tackle challenging problems that leverage new technologies. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to solve deep technical problems while collaborating with smart, passionate software developers.
You possess strong problem-solving skills and are comfortable interfacing with sortation and SCOT systems for high fidelity promise and planning decisions. Your experience includes working on high volume, low latency, and high availability services, which is crucial for supporting Amazon's rapid expansion into new geographies.

What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building core software components and services that orchestrate the movement of inventory within a warehouse. You will work on interfacing with sortation and SCOT systems, ensuring high fidelity promise and planning decisions. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of operations across 570+ fulfillment centers worldwide.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that meet the demands of an increasingly complex transportation network. Your work will involve addressing both business and technical challenges, leveraging new technologies to support Amazon's growth and innovation.
You will also engage in code reviews and contribute to the architectural design of new and existing systems, ensuring reliability and scalability. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior developers and share your knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
