Who you are
You have 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience — you've built and maintained software systems that are reliable and scalable. You possess a strong understanding of design patterns and architecture, enabling you to create efficient solutions for complex business problems. Your experience includes working closely with operations staff, ensuring that the software you develop meets the needs of users in Amazon fulfillment centers worldwide. You are comfortable with high-volume, low-latency services and have a passion for innovation in supply chain and delivery models. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside smart and dedicated software developers to tackle challenging technical issues. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies that can enhance the customer experience.
Desirable
Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, is a plus. Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics software will help you excel in this role. A background in working with large-scale systems and an understanding of the complexities involved in transportation networks will be beneficial.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building core software components and services that orchestrate the movement of inventory within warehouses. You will interface with sortation and SCOT systems to support high fidelity promise and planning decisions. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of operations across 570+ fulfillment centers globally. You will engage in problem-solving sessions to address both business and technical challenges, leveraging new technologies to create innovative solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the software you develop is aligned with operational needs and customer expectations. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the development process, ensuring that best practices are followed.
