Who you are
You have 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong understanding of computer fundamentals and practical experience in working with large-scale distributed systems. Your expertise includes building complex software systems and you are familiar with web services-based applications, especially at massive scale. You have experience programming with at least one software programming language, and you understand the full software development life cycle, including coding.
You are skilled in design or architecture, with 2+ years of experience in design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems. Your background includes working on projects that require a secure and accurate identity verification platform, which is critical for protecting customers from bad actors. You thrive in environments where you can contribute to the development of systems that serve millions of users with high accuracy and minimal friction.
What you'll do
As a Software Development Engineer - II, you will be part of the Selling Partner Identity Verification team, ensuring that Amazon remains a safe and trustworthy place for customers. You will contribute to the design and implementation of an end-to-end solution for identity verification and account lifecycle management across various Amazon businesses globally. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the security and efficiency of the identity verification platform.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable systems that can handle millions of transactions securely. This includes writing high-quality code, participating in code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.
