Who you are
You have a strong background in software development, particularly in building mission-critical systems that require high reliability and performance. Your experience includes developing software that processes and visualizes large datasets, particularly telemetry data from satellite systems. You are comfortable collaborating with team members to establish a robust software organization and are eager to help onboard new team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
You are proficient in utilizing AWS and other Amazon technologies to create high-availability software services. Your passion for technology drives you to stay updated with the latest advancements in software engineering, and you are committed to delivering exceptional results that meet mission criteria and requirements.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop software systems that are critical to the operation of Amazon Leo's satellite network. You will create systems and services for ingesting, processing, and visualizing vast amounts of satellite telemetry data. Your responsibilities will include building real-time monitoring systems to identify anomalies and trends, ensuring that stakeholders are alerted to critical situations that require intervention. You will work closely with your team to maintain the backbone software infrastructure that powers the organization, ensuring extremely high reliability and uptime across systems that manage telemetry streams from thousands of endpoints.
You will collaborate with fellow engineers to form a strong foundation for the software organization in Leo, contributing to the overall success of the satellite constellation. Your role will also involve mentoring new team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
What we offer
Amazon provides a competitive salary range of $168,100.00 - $227,400.00 USD annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) matching program, paid time off, and parental leave.
