Overview
Amazon is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the Data Management and Autonomy charter for their Last-Mile Robotic Delivery initiative. You'll work at the intersection of robotics, autonomy, and large-scale data platforms, requiring strong technical depth and execution skills.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in technical program management, ideally within robotics or automation — you've successfully led cross-functional teams and managed complex projects that require a deep understanding of both technical and operational aspects. Your strong communication skills enable you to influence senior engineering leaders and align multiple stakeholders towards common goals.
You possess a solid technical background, particularly in data management and autonomy systems — you understand the nuances of data capture, labeling, and validation processes, and you can translate technical requirements into actionable project plans. Your experience with large-scale data platforms equips you to drive data strategy and governance effectively.
You are adept at managing integrated roadmaps across various domains such as perception, localization, and human-robot interaction — your ability to coordinate efforts across hardware and software teams ensures that all aspects of the autonomy program are aligned and executed efficiently. You thrive in environments that require both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
You have a proven track record of defining metrics and decision frameworks that guide project success — you know how to set clear objectives and measure progress, ensuring that all teams are focused on delivering high-quality outcomes. Your analytical mindset helps you identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance performance.
Desirable
Experience with simulation and scenario validation in robotics would be a plus — you understand the importance of thorough testing and validation in ensuring the safety and reliability of autonomous systems. Familiarity with tele-operations and safety protocols in robotics can further enhance your effectiveness in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and drive the data strategy for Amazon's Last-Mile Robotic Delivery initiative — you will ensure that the right data is captured, labeled, validated, and leveraged to continuously improve autonomous delivery performance at scale. You will lead the autonomy program execution, driving the integrated roadmap across perception, localization, prediction, planning, and controls.
You will serve as the coordination layer across various teams, including autonomy engineering, robotics hardware, simulation, and safety — your leadership will be crucial in aligning efforts and ensuring that all teams are working towards common objectives. You will define scenario taxonomies and coverage targets, owning programs that validate performance across both physical testing and simulation.
You will define and own metrics, readouts, and decision frameworks that guide project execution — your insights will help shape the direction of the initiative and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned. You will work closely with senior engineering leaders to influence technical direction and drive project success.
What we offer
Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $148,700.00 - $201,200.00 USD annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that fosters innovation and collaboration, contributing to cutting-edge projects in robotics and automation. Join us and be part of a team that is shaping the future of delivery technology.
