Amazon is hiring a Manufacturing Test Technician II to support the production of the Amazon Leo satellites. You'll be responsible for assembling and testing complex aerospace builds while ensuring quality and safety standards. Job Description
Who you are
You have experience in manufacturing or testing environments, ideally with a focus on aerospace or complex mechanical systems. You are detail-oriented and motivated, thriving in environments where quality and reliability are paramount. You understand the importance of following work instructions and safety procedures to ensure the highest standards of execution. You are capable of independently executing and prioritizing work to meet company deliverables, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills in challenging situations.
You are familiar with assembling and testing electrical-mechanical assemblies and avionics, and you have a keen interest in process improvements. You are proactive in maintaining floor stock inventory and ensuring that lab equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. You are committed to championing safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations, understanding that safety is a critical aspect of your role.
Desirable
Experience with satellite technology or broadband systems would be a plus, as would familiarity with testing procedures for component and system-level testing. You may have a background in engineering or a related field, which would enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will follow detailed work instructions to assemble and test various components of the Amazon Leo satellites. Your responsibilities will include executing test procedures for both component and system-level testing, ensuring that all products meet the required quality and reliability standards. You will participate in process improvements, contributing your insights to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in production.
You will be responsible for maintaining floor stock inventory, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for production. You will independently prioritize your work to meet company deliverables, demonstrating your ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your role will also involve championing safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations, ensuring that safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
You will ensure that lab equipment is maintained and calibrated, playing a crucial role in the overall success of the production process. Your attention to detail will be essential as you work to deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of customers and communities around the world.
