You have experience in workplace health and safety, demonstrating a strong understanding of safety policies and local regulations. You excel in building trust and confidence with operations teams, influencing change through effective communication and comprehensive risk assessments. Your ability to analyze safety data and lead continuous improvement initiatives is key to ensuring a safe working environment for associates. You are skilled in instructing and training operations leaders on safety standards, ensuring that best practices are incorporated into daily operations.
You possess excellent knowledge of safety programs and ergonomic practices, which you apply when collaborating with operations teams. Your leadership skills enable you to guide safety team members effectively, fostering a culture of safety and compliance. You are proactive in identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring a healthful workplace for all associates.
What you'll do
As a WHS Officer at Amazon, you will be responsible for executing company safety policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable local and regional regulations. You will partner with site operations teams to lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing conditional and ergonomic risks in processes. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive risk assessments and analyzing safety data to identify areas for improvement. You will also be tasked with training operations leaders on safety policies and assisting site teams in incorporating safety standards into their operations.
You will lead a team of safety specialists and coordinators, creating and executing leadership development plans to achieve the best results for customers. Your ability to communicate clearly and consistently will be essential in conveying safety messages and fostering a culture of safety within the organization. You will identify best practices and integrate them into company safety policies, continuously striving to enhance the safety environment for associates.
