Anthropic is hiring a Senior Account Executive to drive the adoption of AI technology in Japan's retail sector. You'll manage the full sales cycle and work with senior leaders to optimize operations and enhance customer experiences. Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly within the retail sector, and possess the ability to build strong relationships with senior executives. Your experience includes managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and you are adept at identifying high-value opportunities in competitive markets. You understand the nuances of retail technology and can effectively position AI solutions to enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency.

You are a strategic thinker who can develop and execute territory plans that align with business objectives. Your consultative sales approach allows you to engage with C-level executives, including CIOs, CDOs, and CMOs, to drive meaningful conversations about AI's role in demand forecasting and inventory optimization. You thrive in collaborative environments, orchestrating internal teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own and exceed revenue targets by winning new major retail accounts and expanding existing relationships across Japan's domestic retailers, convenience store chains, e-commerce platforms, and omnichannel brands. You will lead consultative sales processes, positioning AI as a key driver for enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiencies. Your responsibilities will include building and executing territory plans, identifying high-value opportunities, and engaging with senior executives to discuss how Anthropic's AI solutions can optimize their operations.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Product, Engineering, and Applied AI, to ensure that the solutions you propose integrate seamlessly with existing retail technology stacks. Your ability to communicate effectively and build trust with clients will be crucial as you work to establish Anthropic as a leader in the AI space within the retail sector.
