Compliance Manager • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a strong background in security compliance, particularly within the public sector, and are familiar with federal authorization processes such as FedRAMP and DoD Impact Level authorizations. Your experience includes navigating complex compliance frameworks and working with multiple stakeholders to ensure security requirements are met. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively liaise with regulators, customers, and internal teams. You understand the importance of AI safety and security in today's technology landscape and are passionate about building compliance programs that support these goals. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on beneficial AI.

Desirable

Experience with CMMC programs or National Security/Intelligence Community deployments would be a plus. Familiarity with security credentials and audit processes is also advantageous. You are proactive in seeking out best practices and are committed to influencing industry norms in security compliance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead complex federal authorization efforts, including obtaining FedRAMP ATOs and DoD Impact Level authorizations. You will serve as the compliance Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for strategic public sector initiatives, ensuring that all security and compliance requirements are met. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing compliance strategies, conducting audits, and responding to inquiries from auditors and partners. You will work closely with internal teams to provide guidance on security expectations and help them prioritize compliance efforts. Additionally, you will be involved in building a new kind of compliance program that addresses the unique challenges of securing AI capabilities.
