You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in data infrastructure, where you've designed and implemented secure and scalable systems. Your expertise includes working with cloud infrastructure, ensuring data privacy, and building robust data pipelines that support business-critical operations. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with data scientists and analysts to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of data governance and access control. Your experience includes implementing IAM policies, audit logging, and compliance measures that ensure sensitive data is protected while remaining accessible to authorized users. You are comfortable navigating complex security requirements and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all systems are both functional and secure.

Your technical toolkit includes proficiency in AWS, Docker, and Python, along with familiarity with SQL for data manipulation and querying. You are adept at using these technologies to build and maintain data pipelines and warehouses that facilitate efficient reporting and analytics. You understand the importance of data integrity and reliability, and you take pride in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of your organization.

Desirable

Experience with data governance frameworks and compliance standards is a plus, as is familiarity with financial data infrastructure. You may also have experience with tools like Airflow for orchestrating data workflows or knowledge of data warehousing solutions that enhance reporting capabilities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust access control systems that ensure only authorized users can access sensitive data. You will build infrastructure for permission management, audit logging, and compliance requirements, working on IAM policies, ACLs, and security controls that scale across thousands of users and systems. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and security of data-driven decisions across Anthropic.

You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and translate them into technical specifications. This includes building and maintaining data pipelines and warehouses that power business-critical reporting. You will ensure that data processing is fast, reliable, and privacy-respecting, enabling your colleagues to make informed decisions based on accurate data.

Your role will also involve tackling diverse challenges, from architecting access control systems to ensuring cloud storage reliability.
