What you'll do

As a Software Engineer on the Safeguards team, you will develop foundational systems that power safety and oversight mechanisms for AI models. Your responsibilities will include building infrastructure for data storage and management, as well as creating metric and evaluation systems that ensure the effectiveness of safety measures. You will also work on tooling for human and agentic review, contributing to the overall safety and transparency of AI systems.

You will ensure the day-to-day operation of Safeguards systems, maintaining a high operational bar that serves both safety and customer needs. Your work will involve building robust multi-layered defenses that facilitate real-time improvements to safety mechanisms, allowing them to scale effectively. You will collaborate with a diverse team of researchers and engineers, contributing to the mission of creating beneficial AI systems.
