Appier is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for their Ad Cloud Platform team to design and build scalable backend architecture. You'll work with Python and various database technologies. This position requires 3+ years of experience in backend software development.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development, particularly with high-performance, high-concurrency systems. Proficient in Python, you have a strong understanding of system design and architecture for scalable and distributed systems, especially within a Linux environment. Your knowledge of Network API Design, including RESTful APIs, gRPC, and GraphQL, is solid, and you have experience with message queues like Kafka for data pipelines. You possess a strong grasp of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse, and PostgreSQL, along with experience in database optimization and scaling strategies. You are proactive, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and communicate effectively in a cross-functional team setting.
What you'll do
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Appier, you will design and build scalable and performant backend architecture for the Ad Cloud Platform. You will own and drive the technical roadmap for sizable projects or services, ensuring high performance and reliability. Your role will involve mentoring junior engineers and facilitating high-performance agile teams while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for implementing complex business features and promoting backend architecture upgrades or improving development processes.
