Apple is hiring a Senior Analog Layout Engineer to work on cutting-edge custom analog designs. You'll collaborate closely with circuit designers and layout engineers to deliver high-quality layouts. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience in analog layout engineering. You possess a full understanding of analog layout fundamentals, including electromigration, IR drop, parasitics, LDEs, and ESD. Your solid knowledge of Unix and CAD environments allows you to navigate complex design challenges effectively. You are highly proficient in interpreting and debugging Calibre results, ensuring that your layouts meet the highest standards of quality. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

You have experience mentoring junior layout engineers, guiding them through the intricacies of layout design. You excel in driving consensus with external teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned on project goals. Your expertise spans both planar and FinFET nodes, giving you a comprehensive understanding of modern layout techniques. Additionally, your scripting capabilities enhance your efficiency in layout processes, allowing you to automate repetitive tasks and focus on more complex design challenges.

What you'll do

As an Analog Layout Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for delivering layouts independently, starting with initial floor planning and concluding with fully verified, post-extracted layouts that pass DRC, ERC, and LVS checks. You will conduct thorough reviews for floor planning and layout designs, ensuring that all aspects of the design meet the required specifications. Your role will involve close collaboration with circuit designers and other layout engineers, fostering a team environment that values creativity and innovation.

You will be expected to construct layouts for a wide variety of designs across different technologies, adapting your approach to meet the unique requirements of each project. Your ability to interpret and debug Calibre results will be crucial in identifying and resolving layout issues before they impact the overall design. You will also participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and contributing to the continuous improvement of layout practices within the team.

What we offer

At Apple, you will be part of a dynamic team that values engineering excellence and innovation. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry, contributing to projects that push the boundaries of technology. Our commitment to inclusion and diversity ensures that you will be part of a supportive and collaborative work environment. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
