Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience, showcasing a full understanding of analog layout fundamentals. Your expertise includes electromigration, IR drop, parasitics, LDEs, and ESD, which are critical for delivering high-quality layouts. You possess solid knowledge of Unix and CAD environments, enabling you to navigate complex design tools effectively. Your high proficiency in interpreting and debugging Calibre results sets you apart, ensuring that you can deliver layouts that meet stringent quality standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with various teams to achieve project goals.
You have experience mentoring junior layout engineers, helping them grow their skills and understanding of the field. Your ability to drive consensus with external teams is a valuable asset, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned on project objectives. You bring expertise covering both planar and FinFET nodes, which is crucial for working on advanced technologies. Additionally, your scripting capability enhances efficiency in layout processes, allowing you to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
What you'll do
As an Analog Layout Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for delivering layouts independently, starting with initial floor planning and concluding with fully verified, post-extracted layouts. This includes conducting Design Rule Checks (DRC), Electrical Rule Checks (ERC), and Layout Versus Schematic (LVS) checks to ensure compliance with design specifications. You will work closely with circuit designers and other layout engineers, fostering collaboration to achieve the highest quality layouts possible. Your role will involve reviewing floor plans and layouts, providing feedback to enhance design quality and efficiency.
You will be part of a development team that values engineering excellence, creativity, and innovation.
