Who you are

You have a strong understanding of full-stack application design on cloud platforms, with experience in environments such as SAP BTP, AWS, or GCP. You are familiar with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolsets, including GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform, which you have used to automate deployment processes. You possess programming skills in at least one of the following languages: JavaScript, Node.js, or Python, allowing you to contribute effectively to application development and maintenance. Your grasp of cloud security concepts, particularly in authentication and authorization, ensures that you can guide application teams on best practices.

Desirable

Experience with observability tools such as Kibana, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or Splunk would be beneficial, as you will be responsible for monitoring application and infrastructure performance. Familiarity with emerging technologies and a proactive approach to evaluating new solutions will help you contribute to the evolution of platform services.

What you'll do

As a Cloud Platform Engineer at Apple, you will join a high-energy Site Reliability Engineering team dedicated to advancing cloud capabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to build, deploy, and support business-critical cloud applications across SAP BTP, AWS, and GCP. You will implement and maintain observability solutions across applications and services deployed on BTP, facilitating proactive monitoring and intelligent alerting. You will work closely with a dynamic group of engineers, troubleshooting issues and automating processes to enhance system reliability and performance.

You will guide application teams on cloud security best practices, ensuring that authentication and authorization are handled effectively. Your role will involve evaluating emerging technologies and contributing to the evolution of platform services, which will require you to stay updated on industry trends and advancements. You will also be responsible for monitoring application and infrastructure performance, using observability tools to gain insights into system behavior and identify areas for improvement.
