Who you are

You have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience in CPU performance architecture and micro-architecture design. Your academic or industry experience has equipped you with a strong foundation in performance analysis, allowing you to identify and devise solutions for hardware and software performance bottlenecks. You are proficient in C and C++, and have a solid understanding of Linux environments, which are essential for developing advanced CPU performance simulators and associated infrastructure.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with RTL and implementation teams to ensure that CPU performance features are architected effectively. Your analytical skills enable you to profile and optimize critical workloads for CPU performance and power, making you a key player in the chip design effort. You are passionate about innovation and eager to contribute to groundbreaking products that impact millions of customers.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the center of a chip design effort, collaborating with various disciplines to deliver functional products quickly. You will architect cutting-edge CPU performance features, working closely with RTL and implementation teams to ensure seamless integration. Your responsibilities will include developing advanced CPU performance simulators and associated infrastructure, as well as new performance exploration and correlation tools and processes.

You will collaborate with software and system teams to identify, profile, and optimize critical workloads for CPU performance and power. Your work will involve correlating the performance of RTL with CPU performance simulators, ensuring that all components work harmoniously to achieve optimal performance. You will play a critical role in getting functional products to millions of customers, making your contributions vital to Apple's success.
