Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in the industry, particularly in CPU architecture. Your background includes a strong understanding of power budgeting and analysis, and you are skilled in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and TCL. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for identifying opportunities for power recovery in physical implementations and RTL. Your analytical skills allow you to generate power rollups and project estimates effectively throughout the lifecycle of a project.
Desirable
Experience with tools like PowerArtist is a plus, as is familiarity with micro-architecture and high-performance design principles. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.
What you'll do
As a CPU Power Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for analyzing and estimating the power impact of new micro-architectural features. You will generate power rollups and projected estimates from initial to mature net lists, ensuring that power contributions are well understood and opportunities for recovery are identified. Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to refine processes and create accurate power projections that factor in the expected cost of convergence and implementation. You will play a key role in delivering groundbreaking Apple products by applying your expertise in power analysis and CPU architecture.
