Who you are
You have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possess academic or industry experience in CPU performance architecture and micro-architecture design. Your background includes performance analysis, and you are familiar with performance modeling techniques. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with RTL and implementation teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Your strong analytical skills enable you to profile and optimize critical workloads for CPU performance and power.
You are adept at developing advanced CPU performance simulators and associated infrastructure, demonstrating your technical expertise in this area. Your experience includes collaborating with software and system teams to ensure optimal performance outcomes. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results that have a significant impact on product functionality and user experience.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be at the center of a chip design effort, collaborating with various disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of functional products. You will architect cutting-edge CPU performance features, working closely with RTL and implementation teams to devise solutions for hardware and software performance bottlenecks. Your responsibilities will include developing advanced CPU performance simulators and the necessary infrastructure to support them.
You will also be tasked with creating new performance exploration and correlation tools and processes, which will enhance the efficiency of the design process. By collaborating with software and system teams, you will identify, profile, and optimize critical workloads, ensuring that CPU performance and power consumption are maximized.
