Who you are
You hold a BS or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Math, or related fields, and have hands-on experience using cloud data analytics platforms such as Snowflake, Trino, or BigQuery. You have a strong background in building data transformation pipelines using frameworks like dbt or Apache Spark, and you are familiar with data modeling and governance techniques, including Row Access Policies and role-based access control (RBAC).
You thrive in collaborative environments, effectively bridging the gap between business needs, analytical solutions, and engineering requirements. Your proactive approach to collaboration with other data engineering teams is essential for scaling solutions across the organization. You are detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills, enabling you to tackle complex data challenges.
What you'll do
In this role, you will work closely with data scientists, hardware engineers, hardware test, and manufacturing operations teams to build scalable data pipelines and solutions that support Apple's camera hardware initiatives. You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive aggregate data layer that enables efficient and flexible executive reporting, highly customized data applications, and powerful ML inference and analysis. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and capabilities of Apple's camera products, ensuring they remain at the forefront of technology.
You will also engage in proactive collaboration with other data engineering teams to ensure that solutions are scalable and meet the needs of various stakeholders. Your role will involve designing and implementing data transformation processes, optimizing data flows, and ensuring data quality and governance across the organization.
