Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in design verification engineering, with experience in verifying the functionality and performance of complex systems on chips (SoCs). Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to create effective test benches that ensure high-quality pre-silicon deliveries. You are proficient in Python, which you use to automate testing processes and analyze results. You understand the importance of collaboration, working closely with custom circuit designers and RTL designers to achieve performance goals. You are detail-oriented, capable of reviewing design and architecture specifications to identify potential issues before they arise. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited about contributing to the development of innovative technology products.
Desirable
Experience with digital custom circuits and an understanding of corner conditions is highly desirable. Familiarity with regression testing and bug tracking tools will give you an edge in this role. A background in working with SoCs in a commercial environment is a plus, as is knowledge of industry-standard verification methodologies.
What you'll do
In your role as a Custom Circuits Design Verification Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for ensuring that all custom IPs delivered to the SoCs are bug-free. This involves translating design specifications into comprehensive test benches that include stimulus, checkers, assertions, trackers, and coverage metrics. You will run and triage regressions, tracking bugs and analyzing coverage to ensure high-quality results. Your collaboration with the digital custom circuits team will be crucial, as you will need to understand the functionality and performance goals of the designs you are verifying. You will also participate in design reviews, providing feedback and insights that contribute to the overall success of the project. Your work will have a direct impact on getting functional products to market quickly, making you a key player in the SoC design effort.
