As a Design Verification Engineer, you have experience in verifying the functionality and performance of complex systems on a chip (SOC). You understand the importance of quality in chip design and are skilled at reviewing design and architecture specifications. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with design and micro-architecture teams to ensure that the SOC meets its functional and performance goals.

You possess a strong understanding of verification methodologies and are adept at developing test plans and coverage plans. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams allows you to drive test cases that cover various use cases and corner conditions. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring that every aspect of the design is thoroughly tested and validated.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the heart of the chip design effort, collaborating with various teams to ensure the quality of the SOC or an IP or subsystem. You will own the verification process, developing and executing test plans that align with the design specifications. Your responsibilities will include reviewing design documents, understanding the functional and performance goals, and using this knowledge to create effective test cases.

You will actively communicate with design, architecture, and software teams to understand the use cases and corner conditions that need to be tested. Your work will involve verifying various types of IP, including Neural Engine hardware, DRAM subsystems, and encoding/decoding systems for different codec formats. You will also contribute to defining the next generation of verification methodologies and testbenches, ensuring that Apple continues to lead in hardware technology.
