You are an experienced Design Verification Engineer with a strong background in pre-silicon verification methodologies. You have a proven track record of developing detailed test and coverage plans based on micro-architecture, ensuring that the designs you work on are robust and reliable. Your mindset is geared towards breaking designs to ensure their functionality, and you thrive on solving complex challenges that require innovative thinking. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish verification environments that are scalable and portable, and you have a keen eye for detail that helps you catch potential issues before they arise.

You possess a deep understanding of the verification process, including test-plan development, verification environment development, and regression enabling. Your experience allows you to implement verification plans effectively, ensuring that all features under your care are thoroughly tested and validated. You are passionate about delivering high-quality products that meet the high standards expected at Apple, and you are eager to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology that enriches people's lives.

Desirable

While not required, familiarity with specific verification tools and methodologies would be advantageous. Experience in developing verification environments that include components such as stimulus, checkers, assertions, and trackers will set you apart. A background in working with SoC or IP designs is also a plus, as it will enhance your ability to contribute to the team from day one.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for all phases of pre-silicon verification, which includes establishing DV methodology and developing comprehensive test plans. You will work closely with design teams to ensure that the verification environment is robust and capable of handling the complexities of the designs being developed. Your responsibilities will include writing tests, debugging issues, and ensuring coverage and sign-off for RTL freeze and tape-out. You will also be tasked with developing verification plans for all features under your care, implementing these plans, and enabling regression for all features.

You will collaborate with other engineers to refine and enhance the verification process, sharing insights and best practices to improve overall efficiency. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest verification techniques and tools, allowing you to bring innovative solutions to the team. You will be encouraged to take ownership of your projects, ensuring that the verification process is thorough and effective, ultimately leading to the successful launch of new products.
