Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in electrical engineering with experience in designing and verifying PCBA and Flex designs. Your expertise includes developing and maintaining PCBA DFM procedures and checklists, ensuring that all processes meet high standards of quality and efficiency. You are detail-oriented and have a solid understanding of component specifications and their relevance to PCBA DFM requirements. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to support component engineering efforts by ensuring that specifications align with design for manufacturability principles.
You possess proficiency in tools such as Altium Designer and AutoCAD, which you use to create array drawings and manage the documentation necessary for successful PCBA assembly. Your experience includes working closely with manufacturing subcontractors to oversee the assembly and testing of prototypes, EVT, and DVT processes. You are committed to maintaining high workmanship standards and ensuring the proper use of approved materials throughout the production process.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for verifying the technical capabilities of quick turn PCBA vendors and developing guidelines for Apple subcontractors. You will manage the PCBA prototype assembly process, ensuring that all assemblies meet the required specifications and quality standards. Your role will involve developing and maintaining PCBA process parameters and procedures, which will serve as essential guidelines for subcontractors.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support component engineering efforts, ensuring that all component specifications meet DFM requirements. Additionally, you will be involved in the development of array drawings for product PCBAs, which are critical for the manufacturing process. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a vital role in bringing innovative products to market.
