Who you are

As a PCBA Technician, you have a foundational understanding of printed circuit board assembly and are eager to work in a fast-paced environment. You are detail-oriented and capable of inspecting incoming boards to IPC-610 Class 2/3 standards. Your experience includes reworking, assembling, and debugging PCBAs, and you are comfortable applying and removing conformal coatings and other polymeric adhesives. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support new product development and production systems.

Desirable

Experience with Altium Designer is a plus, as it will help you in leading form components to match engineering footprints and drawings. Familiarity with Embedded Linux will also be beneficial in understanding the systems you will be working on. You are someone who is open to learning and growing in your role, and you are excited about the opportunity to contribute to innovative satellite technology.

What you'll do

In your role as a PCBA Technician at Astranis, you will be responsible for building and testing a variety of circuit boards and harnesses. You will work on both research and development as well as production systems, collaborating with engineering teams to debug any issues that arise. Your day-to-day tasks will involve assembling PCBAs, inspecting them for quality, and ensuring they meet the required standards. You will also be involved in applying and reworking conformal coatings and other adhesives, ensuring that all components are correctly aligned and functioning.

You will have the opportunity to lead the forming of components to match engineering specifications, which will require you to interpret engineering drawings accurately. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the high standards of quality and reliability that Astranis is known for, especially as the company expands its satellite offerings.
