Who you are

You have excellent programming skills and a strong knowledge of C/C++, with development experience on Unix, Linux, or macOS. Your software design, problem-solving, and debugging skills are top-notch, allowing you to tackle complex challenges effectively. You possess experience in implementing general operating system concepts and have strong kernel-mode device driver development skills. Your background includes systems engineering or low-level hardware and firmware/driver programming, ideally with a Technical BS/MS degree.

You are familiar with display technology and have experience with embedded systems. Your understanding of parallel and asynchronous processing is solid, and you have hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and debugging. You are a high-energy problem solver with a passion for excellence and quality, and you thrive in collaborative environments while also being able to work independently.

Desirable

Knowledge of advanced display technologies and experience with graphics frameworks will set you apart. Familiarity with power management and content protection technologies is a plus, as is a keen interest in the latest advancements in GPU and display software development.

What you'll do

As a Product Display Driver Engineer at Apple, you will be part of the Graphics Acceleration Software team within the GPU, Graphics and Displays group. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver software for GPU, display, power management, and content protection technologies for Apple's iOS and macOS products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the software you develop meets the high standards expected of Apple products.

You will engage in the design and implementation of software that drives media experiences across Apple's innovative product line, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. Your role will involve working closely with hardware engineers to optimize performance and ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.

You will also be responsible for debugging and troubleshooting issues that arise during the development process, ensuring that the software you deliver is reliable and efficient. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience, as you work on technologies that enhance graphics and display capabilities.
