Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in embedded firmware development. Your expertise lies in designing and implementing bare metal control firmware that is highly optimized for performance and efficiency. You thrive in a multifaceted, multi-functional organization and are comfortable debating ideas openly while adapting to constantly evolving requirements.
You possess strong programming skills in C and C++, with a solid understanding of embedded Linux systems. Your experience includes working with real-time systems and developing algorithms that meet rigid deadlines. You are also familiar with AI/ML principles and can leverage these technologies to enhance productivity in firmware development.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be at the center of the embedded 5G/4G/multimode cellular firmware effort within a silicon design group. You will design and implement algorithms that utilize minimal memory and processing cycles while adhering to strict real-time deadlines. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful productization of powerful cellular SoCs.
You will engage in the full firmware development lifecycle, from initial design through verification and testing. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of Apple's cellular products, making them more efficient and effective in real-world applications. You will also have the opportunity to explore innovative uses of AI/ML in your projects, driving improvements in firmware capabilities.
