Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 10 years of relevant experience in firmware development. Your expertise lies in developing firmware using C and assembly language, particularly with ARM CPUs, and you have a solid understanding of microcontrollers and interrupt service routines. You are familiar with computer architecture and have experience with version control tools like Git and Perforce. Your strong communication and presentation skills enable you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desirable
Experience with real-time operating systems and mixed-signal concepts is a plus. Familiarity with RTL or Verilog will further enhance your profile, as will any experience in post-silicon validation and performance characterization.
What you'll do
As a Firmware Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for developing firmware to implement critical features for mixed-signal IPs inside system-on-chips (SOCs). You will read and understand IP specifications to ensure accurate implementation. Your role will also involve supporting post-silicon bringup, validation, and performance characterization, as well as system integration and debugging. You will work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware components, contributing to the development of innovative products that delight millions of customers.
