Overview

Apple is hiring an Experienced Firmware Engineer to develop firmware for mixed-signal IPs. You'll work with C and assembly language on ARM CPUs, focusing on post-silicon bringup and validation. This position requires 3+ years of relevant experience.

Who you are

You have a strong background in firmware development, particularly using C and assembly language with ARM CPUs. With a solid understanding of microcontrollers and computer architecture, you are well-equipped to tackle complex challenges in firmware design. Your communication and presentation skills enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that your ideas and solutions are clearly conveyed.

You have experience with real-time operating systems and are familiar with version control tools like Git and Perforce. Your educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience in firmware development.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing firmware to implement critical features for mixed-signal IPs inside system-on-chip (SoC) designs. You will read and understand IP specifications to ensure that your firmware meets the necessary requirements. Your responsibilities will also include supporting post-silicon bringup, validation, performance characterization, and system integration.

You will work closely with hardware engineers to debug and optimize firmware performance, ensuring that the final product meets Apple's high standards. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to integrate firmware with hardware components, contributing to the overall success of upcoming Apple products.
