Job Description
Who you are
You have a BS degree in a technical discipline and at least 10 years of relevant experience in firmware development. Your expertise includes developing firmware using C and assembly language, particularly with ARM CPUs. You possess a solid understanding of microcontrollers and interrupt service routines, as well as a strong grasp of computer architecture. Your experience with version control tools like Git and Perforce enhances your collaborative skills. You are familiar with real-time operating systems and have a basic understanding of mixed-signal concepts, which adds depth to your technical capabilities. Additionally, familiarity with RTL or Verilog is a plus, showcasing your versatility in the field.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing firmware to implement critical features for mixed-signal IPs inside system-on-chip (SOC) architectures. You will engage in post-silicon bringup, validation, performance characterization, and system integration, ensuring that the firmware meets the high standards expected at Apple. Your responsibilities will include debugging and troubleshooting firmware issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components. You will also be expected to read and understand IP specifications to effectively implement firmware solutions that enhance product performance.
