Apple is hiring a Graphics (GPU) Architectural Modeling Engineer to develop architectural models for GPU design and validation. You'll work with C, C++, and Python to create high-performance, power-efficient processors. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in GPU architectural modeling. Your expertise includes developing architectural models for the validation and verification of GPU designs, and you are skilled in writing bit-accurate models for hardware/software co-validation. You have a strong understanding of timing-accurate architectural and micro-architectural models for performance validation and correlation. You are adept at supporting GPU hardware and software teams during model and design bring-up, and you excel at triaging regression failures and debugging issues to their root cause. Your experience also includes improving modeling infrastructure to enhance efficiency and performance.

Desirable

Experience with industry-leading low power GPUs and familiarity with the latest GPU design methodologies will be advantageous. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment and have a passion for crafting elegant solutions to complex challenges. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams will help you succeed in this role.

What you'll do

As a Graphics (GPU) Architectural Modeling Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for developing architectural models that are crucial for the development, validation, and verification of GPU designs. You will write bit-accurate architectural models that facilitate hardware/software co-validation, ensuring that the GPU operates efficiently within the broader system-on-chip (SoC) design. Your role will involve writing timing-accurate models that are essential for performance validation and correlation, allowing for precise assessments of GPU capabilities. You will support GPU hardware and software teams during the model and design bring-up phases, ensuring that all components function seamlessly together. Additionally, you will be tasked with triaging regression failures, identifying the root causes of issues, and implementing solutions to enhance model reliability. Your contributions will also include improving the modeling infrastructure, which is vital for maintaining high standards in GPU design and performance.

What we offer

At Apple, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to innovation and excellence in technology. We offer a collaborative work environment where your ideas and contributions are valued. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that powers millions of devices worldwide.
