Who you are
You have a strong background in hardware engineering with a focus on microarchitecture development and RTL design — your experience includes driving architecture from high-level exploration to detailed specifications. You are skilled in developing and refining RTL features to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals, ensuring that your designs are both innovative and efficient.
Your expertise extends to validation processes, where you support test bench development and simulation for functional and performance verification — you understand the importance of thorough testing in delivering high-quality products. You are adept at performance exploration and correlation, validating that your RTL designs meet targeted performance metrics.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own or participate in the microarchitecture development and specification process, contributing to the design of high-performance, low-power microprocessors that power Apple's innovative products. You will be responsible for RTL feature ownership, which includes the development, assessment, and refinement of new RTL features.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the designs meet the necessary specifications and performance targets. Your role will also involve supporting the validation process, where you will develop test benches and simulations to verify the functionality and performance of your designs.
As part of the Silicon Engineering Group, you will be at the forefront of designing groundbreaking Apple products, contributing to the next generation of CPUs that will power devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
