Who you are

You have a minimum of a BS degree and over 10 years of relevant industry experience, showcasing your deep understanding of CPU architecture and implementation. Your scripting experience in Perl, Python, and TCL allows you to effectively analyze and estimate power impacts in complex designs. You are adept at generating power rollups and projections, ensuring that you can track the lifecycle of projects from initial to mature net lists. Your analytical skills enable you to identify recovery opportunities in both physical implementation and RTL, making you a valuable asset to the CPU team.

You thrive in environments where innovation is key, and you are passionate about contributing to groundbreaking products. Your experience in high-performance designs equips you with the knowledge to navigate the intricacies of power budgeting and analysis. What you'll do

As a Senior CPU Power Engineer at Apple, you will analyze and estimate the power impact of implementing new micro-architectural features, ensuring that each design meets the high standards expected of Apple products. You will generate power rollups and projected estimates, tracking the power contributions throughout the lifecycle of projects. Your role will involve creating power projections that factor in the expected cost of convergence and implementation, refining processes to enhance efficiency.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including micro-architecture, RTL, and physical design, to identify opportunities for recovery in power consumption.
