You are a highly motivated engineer with a strong background in C++ programming, particularly in the context of GPU architecture and performance modeling. You have experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including architecture, design, and software partners, to define and tune GPU architectures. Your analytical skills enable you to drive advanced exploration for next-generation GPU technologies, ensuring high performance and efficiency in Apple products.
You possess a deep understanding of GPU architectures and are familiar with Metal APIs, which you will implement and maintain as part of your role. Your problem-solving skills are exceptional, allowing you to tackle complex challenges in chip design and performance analysis. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that enhance user experiences across Appleโs hardware products.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be at the center of a chip design effort, working closely with various disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of high-performance products. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining C++ code that models the software stack for next-generation GPUs, contributing to the development of GPU simulators for research and performance analysis. Your work will have a critical impact on the performance and efficiency of Appleโs future GPU architectures.
You will collaborate with the Platform Architecture GPU Modeling Team, engaging in advanced exploration of GPU technologies and contributing to architectural tuning efforts. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing new Metal APIs, ensuring they meet the performance standards required for Appleโs innovative products. You will also participate in performance analysis and optimization, working to deliver the best overall solutions for Appleโs customers.
