Who you are
You have experience with SoC or GPU acceleration for AI, and you enjoy collaborating across hardware and software architecture to enhance performance. Your passion for optimizing hardware performance drives you to explore innovative solutions in a simulation environment. You are adept at implementing functional features in compiler stacks and have a strong understanding of performance and power considerations.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with hardware teams to review specifications and address functional issues. Your analytical skills enable you to deep-dive into hardware investigations, identifying and resolving performance gaps effectively. You are comfortable preparing functional and performance test plans, ensuring that new hardware features meet the defined goals.
What you'll do
As a Pre-Silicon Engineer, you will implement new functional features in the ANE Compiler stack, focusing on performance optimization. You will collaborate with the hardware team to drive performance content delivery and triage functional issues. Your role will involve working closely with design and micro-architecture teams to understand the functional and performance goals of the design.
You will participate in workload selection and preparation of functional and performance test plans, ensuring that all aspects of the ANE are thoroughly evaluated. Your responsibilities will also include evaluating new hardware features and contributing to architectural changes for future ANEs. You will partner with driver and firmware teams to integrate hardware acceleration into the software stack, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.
