Overview
Apple is hiring a Wireless SoC Design Engineer to develop microarchitecture and RTL for System-on-Chip designs. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and optimization of performance, power, and area. This position requires 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience in wireless silicon development. You are skilled in defining ASIC microarchitecture to meet functional requirements while managing performance, power, and area trade-offs. Your knowledge of the ASIC design flow, including System Verilog RTL implementation, allows you to engage effectively in hardware/software partitioning discussions with software and firmware teams.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with physical design, DFT, and CAD teams to optimize performance, power, and area (PPA) targets while ensuring design quality and maintainability. Your experience in design verification and validation across all phasesβfrom concept to silicon bring-upβenables you to contribute significantly to the success of the projects you work on.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop microarchitecture and RTL for a System-on-Chip (SoC) IP design, aligning with specified functional requirements. You will engage in hardware/software partitioning discussions with software and firmware teams, ensuring successful SoC integration. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will support design verification and validation across all phases, from concept to silicon bring-up.
You will work closely with physical design, DFT, and CAD teams to optimize performance, power, and area (PPA) targets while ensuring design quality and maintainability. Your contributions will be crucial in driving the development of highly energy-efficient designs and new technologies that transform user experiences at the product level.
What we offer
At Apple, you will be part of a world-class vertically integrated engineering team that spans RF/Analog architecture, design, Systems/PHY/MAC architecture and design, VLSI/RTL design and integration, Emulation, Design Verification, Test and Validation, and FW/SW engineering.
